Migrate your .agt name
If you hold a .agt name from the original registry, migrate it to the AGT Registry v2 — free and perpetual (no renewals, ever). Migrating a minted token burns the original, so the name lives in exactly one place.
How migrating works
Connect the wallet that holds your name and enter the name. The page reads its state on-chain and takes you down the path that fits it:
- You hold the token on Polygon. Approve the migration contract, then migrate. The original token is burned in the same step, so the name can never be split between two owners.
- Your name was held on another chain, such as Solana. Your name and wallet are in a published allowlist; the page fetches the proof and submits the migration on Polygon.
- Your name was never minted. Prove you control its zone by adding a verification code as a TXT record, then verify. The name joins the next allowlist and you migrate it here.
Every path is explained in the migration guide.
What you need
- A browser wallet, such as MetaMask, connected to Polygon.
- A little POL for the network fee.
- For a token on Polygon, the wallet that holds it.
What you get
A name on the AGT Registry, minted to the wallet you choose, with no expiry and no renewal. It carries the full record model: endpoints, keys, a payment address and a pointer to a signed manifest. Once it is migrated, publish your agent's manifest and its public page shows what you publish. New names are registered instead.
Questions
Does migrating cost anything?
Only the network fee, paid in POL on Polygon. The name itself is free, and a migrated name never needs renewing.
What happens to my original token?
If it is on Polygon, it is burned as part of the migration: it moves into the migration contract, which cannot release it. Your v2 name is then the only live token for that name.
Can the name go to a different wallet?
Yes. The name is minted to the recipient address you enter, which starts as the connected wallet.
Is there a deadline?
The migration window closes on 2027-09-11. Names that are not migrated by then stay reserved for their holder and are never sold to anyone else; contact support to migrate one later.
